FIRST-EVER VIRAL “FLOATING RIVER” TEAHOUSE & CAFÉ IN SINGAPORE!

You’ve probably seen videos on social media of viral “water table” cafés in Japan and Bangkok, and now we’ve got our very own right here in Singapore too!

Incloud is a new Chinese-style teahouse and café in Singapore, and it’s got a unique “water table” complete with a “floating river”! The communal-style table features a flowing stream of actual water, and there’s even smoke for that added theatrics and a dreamy rainforest-esque vibe.

Aside from faux flowers floating in the water, there’s also wooden plates where you can place your tea cups, pastries and snacks, and float them across the stream—perfect for if you want to share your treats with someone else on the table, maybe? Just be careful to place the items right in the middle of the plate, and make sure it’s not too heavy, or else it’ll sink down into the water.

There’s only one of these “water tables” in the café, so we’d imagine the seats at this table will be snapped up pretty quickly. Otherwise, there’s also traditional-style floor seating and also regular booth seats available at the café—all of which offer a very zen and tranquil vibe that’s ideal for a relaxing teatime affair.

White Beauty Tea Set, $48

Since Incloud’s teahouse concept is rooted in the art of traditional Chinese tea culture, they specialise in freshly-brewed teas and small bites. Tea sets start from $28 each, and all sets come with an assortment of nuts and/or flower-shaped pastries to pair with the tea drinks.

Roasted Milk Tea Set, $28

The tea brews offered here are also pretty unique, and incorporate premium ingredients like licorice root, white peony root, poria and more. For something more warming and soothing for the tummy, go for their Roasted Milk Tea ($28) series, served in a clay teapot to keep the milk tea warm. The milk tea is infused with nourishing ingredients like red dates, goji berries and ginger, among others.

Trio Tea Set, $68

For something a little more adventurous than the regular pure tea brews, you can opt for one of their Trio Tea Sets ($68). The set of 3 drinks features a tea blend prepared in 3 ways: pure tea, infused with fresh fruits and even lightly carbonated. The snacks and pastries served alongside the tea drinks are given out at random. You’ve got assorted nuts like walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, almonds, peanuts and more; and various pastries filled with matcha, chocolate, egg yolk or yam.

If you’re looking for a relaxing atmosphere to sip some tea and munch on light snacks, Incloud is definitely the spot. We loved their wide tea selection and the elegant (and quiet, for now) vibes of the space; though we didn’t wish they had a little more variety in terms of food options. Do note that there’s currently no English menu available for now (it’s written entirely in Chinese), but they’ll be making adjustments to include an English version of the menu soon.
