Calling all Potterheads: there’s a new Harry Potter-themed café that’s just sprung up across the border, with themed decor and even a couple of themed food and drinks.

Located about 15 minutes away from the checkpoint is Latte Doh Cafe, the first-ever Harry Potter-themed café in Johor. The café is decked in Harry Potter-themed decor and paraphernalia, including “bubbling” cauldrons filled with “magic potions”, “floating” books, a wizard’s hat, colourful doors representing the 4 Hogwarts houses, portraits of your favourite wizards and more. We’re not sure if they’re displaying any official Harry Potter merchandise, but if you’re a huge fan of the franchise, you’ll probably like what they’ve done with the space.

They’ve also got a couple of Harry Potter-themed food and drink items: like butter beers topped with a 9 ¾ design representing the iconic Platform 9 ¾, and assorted cookies reminiscent of each House. Some highlights from the menu include Buttercreme Latte (RM15), Butter Drink (RM13), Polyjuice Potion (RM13), Kunafah Cookie (RM13.90), Gryffindor/Slytherin/Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff Cookie (RM13.90) and more. While the café currently has a pretty good Google rating of 4.4 out of 5, some customers have noted that more could’ve been done to improve the decor and presentation of food/drink items to make the experience more immersive.
