She Sells Seashells is a specialty bakery known for their unique madeleine and financier creations in unconventional flavours you’ll hardly see anywhere else, and now they’ve also created Singapore’s first-ever Giant Madeleine! How did the giant version of their famous madeleine come about? We’re told that thanks to some of the bakery’s regular customers who requested for a “birthday cake” version of their favourite madeleines, thus the idea of the giant madeleine was born!

The Giant Madeleine is a whopping 10 times bigger in size than the usual madeleine, weighing about 380g each and takes roughly 4 times longer to make. While She Sells Seashells’ regular madeleines cost from $3.20 each, the giant version is priced from $35 to $45 apiece, depending on the flavour.
