You’re probably seen the viral capybara café in Tokyo and in Bangkok as well; and now you don’t have to travel all the way to meet these adorable creatures in person, as we’re finally getting a capybara café that’s even nearer to us—in JB! Capyba Cafe is Malaysia’s first-ever capybara café, and it’s located just 25 minutes away from the checkpoint.

The café interior is clean and spacious: with light, neutral cream hues for a bright, minimalist vibe. Currently, there’s two capybaras housed in the café, and they’re still pretty young babies, so visitors are reminded to be extra cautious and gentle when petting or feeding them.

There’s no admission or entry fee required to enter the café, all you have to do is dine-in at the café itself. There’s no minimum spending imposed as of yet, but you’re limited to a dine-in time of 1 hour to give others a chance to meet the baby capybaras too.
