Dough fritters, or as we know it, youtiao is commonly found in almost every street across Asia. But here’s another version of this deep-fried goodness we didn’t know we needed: dinosaur-shaped ones!
Located at a Thai-Chinese breakfast shop near Chiang Mai’s Warorot Market, these cute pa thong kos are hand crafted by founder Uncle Neng every morning.
He cuts every strip of dough with precision, giving each creature two tiny black sesame seeds for eyes before frying them in oil.
Apart from dinosaurs, they come in several other animal shapes too, such as crocodiles and elephants!
Free tea is served with every order, but do as the locals do and order a side of hot soy milk, coconut custard or congee! Each fritter costs less than S$1.50, so order away!
While the stall may be hidden in a corner, you won’t be able to miss it as queues can get pretty long. To avoid being disappointed, make sure you come on time!
