If you’re a fan, you’ll be glad to know that you won’t have to travel all the way to KL for this popular restaurant, as they’ve just opened a new outlet (their third in Malaysia) in JB—less than 15 minutes away from the checkpoint!

Hai Kah Lang is best known for their fish soup and noodles that are chock full of some of the freshest seafood—you can even see tanks filled with live seafood displayed in the space itself! The restaurant prides itself on offering generous portions of fresh, chunky seafood (think juicy prawns, thick cuts of sliced fish, giant cockles and more) at incredibly affordable prices.

If it’s your first time dining at Hai Kah Lang, one must try from the menu is the Mix Seafood Noodle (RM 28.90; ~$8.30 SGD) that comes filled with fresh seafood like crabs, clams, fish, squid and prawns in a Hua Diao wine-infused bone broth. Other highlights include the Crab Meat Porridge (RM 26.90; ~$7.70 SGD), Milk Soup Fish Head Noodle (RM 17.90; ~$5.10 SGD) and more.
