Remember the ultra-viral Korean bakery pop-up by the famed Bakery 1946 back in 2023? The bakery is back in Singapore for another pop-up event, and this time it’ll be running for nearly a month!
Bakery 1946’s previous pop-up run drew hours-long queues of people hankering to get their hands on viral Korean breads like the popular K-Apple bread; and it seems like the pop-up is set for success once more with even more new bread options from just $2.50 each! Highlights from the bakery include fruit and vegetable-shaped bread, chunky cream-filled buns, mochi bread, pastries and much more.
There’s over 55 different bread varieties available at the bakery pop-up, all made fresh daily by expert bakers who have flown to Singapore directly from Korea. New to the bread line-up is a series of realistic vegetable-shaped breads that resemble the real thing!
There’s the Sweet Potato Bread ($5.20) Sweet Pumpkin Bread ($3.90), Corn Bread ($3.90), Carrot Bread ($3.90), Whole Chestnut Bread ($3.90), Chewy Potato Bread ($3.90) and Garlic Manju ($3.90). You can even get these “vegetables” in a set ($15.60), adorably packed in a farmer’s market-style mesh bag!
Of course, the viral K-Apple bread will also be making a comeback, and you can get them individually ($5.90) or in a box set of 6 ($35.50). Other new and unique sweets available are the Yakgwa Macaron Set ($15), a novel fusion of Korean yakgwa (soft and chewy honey cookies) and French Macaron shells!
You can also expect savoury bread options alongside their signature sweet breads, including Traditional Sausage Bread ($4.90), Spicy Chives Japchae Croquette ($4.90) and Green Onion Cream Cheese Pie ($2.50), among others. Other popular bread items to look forward to include the Original Daegu Sweet Red Bean Bun ($3.50), Peanut Crumb Mochi Bun ($3.80), Fresh Cream Red Bean Bun ($4.80), King-Size Cream Cheese Bread ($5.90), Mammoth Bread ($6.90) and Black Sesame Korean Red Bean Mochi ($4.50), among others.
If you’re thinking of gifting these handcrafted treats, they’ve also got exclusive gift sets like the Sweet Potato Bread Gift Set ($15.60), Mochi Gift Set ($12.90), Chestnut Manju Gift Set ($13.50) or Yakgwa Macaron Gift Set ($15).
