Singapore’s very own Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory has landed and it comes in the form of the Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie! Since its inception in 2020, homegrown chocolate brand, Mr. Bucket has grown to become a local favourite for artisanal chocolate treats, with their chocolate goods selling out regularly at their original Mr. Bucket chocolaterie in Sin Ming. We got a peek at the Factory ahead of its official opening and we’re here to tell you all about it!
Mr. Bucket’s brand new Factory is located at Dempsey and is Singapore’s very first chocolate factory spanning nearly 5000 square metres! The Dempsey Factory is a chocolate dream come true, with various multi-sensory zones for you to experience and enjoy the full bean-to-bar-experience.
The Dempsey Factory boasts the first-ever Creation Station in Singapore, a build-your-own (BYO) chocolate slab station where you can pick your favourite toppings to create your very own personalised chocolate bar! Your Customised Chocolate Bark ($22) comes with 2 inclusions and 1 toppings and you can choose from inclusions like freeze-dried strawberries, pistachios, marshmallows, goji berries, caramelised peanuts, popping candy, and more! You can even pick your desired chocolate, current offerings are: 50% Oat Milk in collaboration with Oatbedient (perfect for if you’re lactose-intolerant!) or 72% Dark from Calinan, Philippines.
The Factory even lets you sneak a peek at what goes on behind the scenes, and the processes from bean-to-bar! Here you can discover how cacao beans are dried, roasted and grinded before being tempered and mixed with other ingredients to become your favourite chocolate bon bons, bars, buttons, pastries and more!
Mr. Bucket champions Asian cacao beans, and you can experience the goodness of Asian cacao first-hand at The Dispensary: a chocolate dispensary and retail counter with a focus on sustainability, so you can bring your own containers to shop your choice of chocolate treats! The Dispensary offers various chocolate treats like chocolate buttons, dragees and even granules! The retail section also houses other goods like bags, cacao wine, chocolate treats, spreads, ready-made chocolate bars, gift sets and more!
Visitors to the Factory can also enjoy a unique chocolate dining experience at The Tasting Room (indoor) or The Cacao Garden (outdoor patio). Pick from various chocolate desserts and entremets like a Bean-To-Bar Journey Tasting Set ($18), Chocolate Passionfruit Tart, ($11), Signature Chocolate Dome ($12), Dark Chocolate Choux Puff ($10) and more.
There will also be one-of-a-kind chocolate-infused and chocolate-centric drinks that include the likes of a 64% Single Origin Hot Chocolate ($8), Seaweed Chocolate Milkshake ($12), Signature Iced Cacao Husk Lemon Tea ($9) and Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate ($9) just to name a few.
Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie’s Dempsey Factory is open to the public from 3rd December 2022 onwards; but in the meantime, you can shop Mr. Bucket’s goods onsite here.
