Pokémon fans will be stoked to know that Scoot is unveiling a one-of-a-kind themed aircraft featuring the ever-lovable Pikachu, just in time to celebrate Scoot’s 10th anniversary! Begin your Pokémon Air Adventures on board the Pikachu Jet starting this September!
The Pikachu Jet project has been a year in the making and marks Scoot’s first-ever co-branded collaboration with The Pokémon Company (TPC) and is the first ASEAN airline to launch this project alongside exclusive Pokémon livery. This Pokémon x Scoot partnership is also momentous for TPC as the last international co-operated themed flight was over 20 years ago.
The Pikachu Jet is a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a capacity of 375 seats for ScootPlus and 340 seats on Economy. Ahead of the Pikachu Jet’s public launch, we got an exclusive peek inside the aircraft and all it has to offer!
Pokémon fans will have an absolute field day onboard the Pokémon Jet—the aircraft is fully decked inside and outside with Pokémon decor: from the headrests, overhead bins and even the engines! Make full use of your time onboard by snapping all the selfies you want with the exclusive Pokémon props placed around the aircraft as well!
Aside from enjoying the aircraft fully decked in Pokémon gear, fans can also look forward to exclusive Pokémon collectibles and merchandise that can only be purchased during flight bookings and onboard Scoot flights. Exclusive merchandise include lanyards, bags and bucket hats.
Passengers onboard the Pikachu Jet will also be treated to a special “Pikachu Dance” by the Scoot crew; and they will also be able to enjoy a specially curated Japanese in-flight meal like Ginger Chicken Teriyaki and more!
Currently the Pikachu Jet will be flying to Tokyo and Seoul starting from 9th September 2022; but the Pikachu Jet will also be rostered on other regular airline routes that are operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, so even if you didn’t book a Pikachu flight, don’t be surprised if you happen to find yourself in one!
Even if you’re not planning on flying on one of Scoot’s Pikachu Jets, you can still join in the Pokémon festivities with other exclusive Pokémon-themed fanfare happening around Singapore this November 2022 during Pokémon Weekend! For 3 days only, from 18th-20th November 2022, Pokémon GO Safari Zone will be coming to Singapore! Expect exciting night shows held at Gardens by the Bay featuring some of your favourite pokémons like Maractus! Pokémon GO players can also look forward to finding Shiny Purrloin in the game, plus an exclusive and limited edition Flower T-Shirt Pikachu—only found in Singapore and for just a limited period of a year!
One-way ticket prices onboard the Pikachu Jet start from $333 for Singapore-Tokyo (Narita) flights and from $231 for Singapore-Seoul flights. Tickets for the Pokémon Jet have been on sale since 12th August, and there are still a couple of seats left, so hurry and grab yours before they run out!
