Ever wondered what you’d look like as an Avatar? Wonder no more as you can now transform yourself into an Avatar in the new Avatar Experience at Gardens by the Bay! The exhibition couldn’t have come at a better time, with the second film set to release in December this year, the Avatar Experience is the best activity to get you all geared up and excited for the new movie, Avatar: The Way of Water.
There will be various immersive and interactive zones where you get to immerse yourself in a walkthrough experience of the fictional world of Pandora, exploring its stunning flora and fauna and meeting some of its mystical creatures.
You’ll also get to meet a life-sized animatronic banshee standing at a whopping 6-metres in height! Get up close and personal with the mythical creature and observe the hundreds of hand-painted colours on the banshee’s body. Watch and be amazed as the banshee roars and moves, reacting in real-time according to changes in the environment.
Visitors will also get a peek into the new mythical creature that’s to be introduced in Avatar: The Way of Water—the Ilu, with a realistic artistic sculpt representation of the creature. You can also look forward to theatrical lights and lasers, coupled with wind and sound effects that’ll make you feel like you’re in Pandora itself.
Enjoy plenty of photo ops among the luminous flowers and pixel fields, and touch the lichen to ignite the neon flex lights and watch the Pandoran plants illuminate before your very eyes! Finally, step into an immersive hallway called the Path of Transition where you’ll experience cascading and luminous branches from the sacred Tree of Souls as you walk by.
One of the highlights of the experience is the Avatarize Yourself kiosks, where you’ll get to envision what you’d look like if you were an Avatar! Enter the interactive simulation kiosk and watch yourself get transformed into an Avatar in real-time, and you can scan the QR code to download your Avatar photo onto your phone as a keepsake. There will also be exclusive Avatar merchandise like t-shirts, plushies and more to shop at the retails store after you’re finished touring the exhibition.
