Feast like Korean royalty at D’RIM, a newly-opened premium Korean steakhouse and omakase restaurant at Mandarin Gallery offering traditional set meals, BBQ and omakase. The name comes from the Korean phrase deurim, which means “sincerely yours”, an ethos that D’RIM emphasises in their dining experience.
The space itself is ultra luxe, modelled after a traditional hanok, or Korean house, complete with sliding doors and “lanterns” for lights. For seating, they’ve got table seats, counter/bar seats, as well as private rooms for celebrating special occasions. If you order their BBQ, you’ll have a “personal chef” cooking for you (so you don’t have to lift a finger) on special grills that are “raised” on an elevated ledge and outfitted with golden exhaust pipes to prevent splatters or smells.
D’RIM focuses on presenting you with the most impeccable dining experience, where every aspect of the meal is carefully taken care of for you—like chefs who will grill your meat tableside—so all you have to do is simply sit back and enjoy the meal and company with your loved ones.
The signature menu item at D’RIM is their bansang, an authentic Korean meal and table setting with royal origins, traditionally reserved only for kings and nobles. The bansang set at D’RIM comes beautifully presented on a traditional tray and dishware with your choice of main, plus steamed eggs, kohlrabi kkakdugi, pine nut salad, sungchae dumplings, yukjeon and pickles. You can choose from main options like the D’RIM Signature Noodle ($38), Jeju Yukgaejang ($44), Galbitang ($46), Naengmyeon ($38) or Bibim Naengmyeon ($38).
D’RIM also offers a la carte dishes that are good for sharing like Beef Yukhoe ($32), Braised Beef ($30), Gujeolpan ($35), Japchae ($28) and more. Their Korean Barbeque menu is also available all day, with a la carte options or set options with an assortment of aged beef/pork cuts from $90 per person. For a more elevated dining experience, try their 11-course omakase tasting menu for $200 per person, available by reservation only.
