Don Don Donki is finally opening at Tiong Bahru Plaza on 1st December 2023, with a brand new look, outlet-exclusive finds and exciting opening promotions! Read on for a first look at the new outlet and what to expect on your next Donki trip!
Retro, vintage-inspired ambience
The new Tiong Bahru outlet boasts a slightly different vibe compared to the other outlets around Singapore, with a more vintage and nostalgic ambience. If you’ve been to the original Don Quijote in Japan, you’ll find the old-school vibe here pretty familiar.
The items in this outlet are also arranged in a special way, stacked on top of each other instead of neatly lined up to mimic a “treasure hunt”—which could be fun for those who enjoy games, or also more troublesome for those who just want to get in and out of the store.
New outlet-exclusive items & food
Aside from the usual favourites you can find at other Donki stores around the island, the new outlet offers some unique things you won’t get at any other outlet!
The Tiong Bahru outlet offers much more pet goods, so if you’re a pawrent, you know where you can go for all your pet supplies. Other unique items include a new and extended range of Popin’ Cookin’ candy kits (from $5.90), as well as a Christmas series of Konjac Jelly (from $4.90).
For food, you can look forward to a new range of Authentic Traditional Sushi and Sashimi (from $4.50)—fitting for the retro theme of the store—and new nose-to-tail Maguro Steak Skewers made with rare parts of the fish!
Exciting grand opening promotions & freebies
Of course, there will be plenty of special opening promotions to look forward to, such as the $5.90 Fill-A-Bag event where you can fit as many sweet potatoes or mikans into 1 bag for just $5.90! The sweet potato Fill-A-Bag will be available on 1st December 2023 from 5pm to 7pm, while the mikan Fill-A-Bag will be available on 2nd December 2023, 5pm to 7pm only.
The store will also be having various hourly discounts like $2/100g T-Bone Steak (UP. $5.50/100g), $1.50/100g Lamb Shoulder Chop (UP. $3/100g), $38 per 1kg box of sashimi-grade Frozen Scallops (UP. $78 per box), 1-for-1 Ichiran Ramen Gift Set for $19.95 each (UP. $39.90 each) and much more!
