RWS Sentosa has introduced a new multisensory entertainment and dining feature that allows visitors to have a meal while being surrounded by over 100,000 marine creatures! Available from 28th August to 31st October, Aqua Gastronomy will allow participants to feast on a four-course Chinese-fusion dinner featuring responsibly-sourced seafood, like hand-harvested Canadian scallops and locally sourced sea bass.
If you had been to S.E.A. Aquarium recently, you would have probably seen these futuristic dining pods being erected in the Open Ocean Habitat Area. Each pod will host a table of five, providing a beautiful panoramic view of the 12-meter long aquarium space.
With apt names such as “Misty Morning Sea” (Canadian Scallops on Thai Style Glass Noodle Salad, with Trout Cavier) and “Ocean’s Reflection” (Hong Kong Style Prawn Wanton with Norwegian Wild-Caught Langoustine), the dishes create a fine-dining experience that looks and sounds as good as it tastes.
Each course of the meal will be served accompanied by specially curated lighting and sound effects to create a multisensory experience. Guests can also expect to see divers feeding and interacting with the fishes throughout their meal, and even take home some unique limited edition souvenirs like illustrated postcards for keepsake.
