The claw machine scene in Singapore seems to be at an all-time high, with arcades here reintroducing a whole slew of these brightly-lit booths. If you thought they were limited to just cute plushies, you’re in for a surprise as we found another unbelievable alternative. Introducing Singapore’s first (and only!) crab claw machine at House of Seafood.

Yep, you read it right. For $5 a token, this machine allows you to suss out the crabs inside, which weigh around 500g to 800g on average each. Once you manage to catch one, the restaurant will skillfully prepare a crab dish for you for free. Choose from house popular flavours like black pepper and salted egg or with bee hoon.

This means that if you catch a crab upon your first try, you just paid $5 for a crab dish from an established seafood place.
