Every year, Gardens by the Bay never fails to put up a spectacular Yuletide fair, and this year is no exception.
We got to check out what the festive fair has to offer, including the 21-metre Spalliera at the Supertree Grove, the largest of the 40 Luminarie light sculptures. All of the light sculptures are handmade from scratch by craftsmen from Italy!
An additional treat this year is also the Christmas Parade, a Christmas Wonderland first. Look out for a parade of colourful festive floats as Santa and his luminated reindeers dance to holiday tunes!
You’ll get to take selfies with Santa, but be prepared for a long queue. If waiting for Santa isn’t at the top of your list, there are many other sculptures and characters to take pictures with too.
If not, you can always opt to go into Santa’s workshop for a cute production line of elves and gifts!
Chairs for photo taking and, erm, resting those tired legs maybe?
Or perhaps Santa’s igloo for Winter-esque OOTD shots.
Tip: Go during sunset for a pretty backdrop of the sky and flattering lighting.
Hungry? Treat yourself to lobster rolls and burgers from Burger & Lobster at the Christmas Tree Cafe, an alfresco dining area at Gardens by the Bay’s Meadow.
Other dining options include Sinfonia Ristorante and Tonito Latin American Kitchen. Prices for food and drinks start from $6.
Grab an ice cold beer from Brewerkz — try the Mistletoe Kiss White Beer, a festive craft brew exclusive to Christmas Wonderland.
Yet another Insta-worthy spot: a 50m tunnel dubbed the Walk of Peace, also a Christmas Wonderland first. Be there before the crowds throng the place!
Pick up unique gifts from the European Christmas market too! There are about 24 stalls for you to choose from.
Carnival fans will be delighted to know that the usual funfair games and rides are back, including kid-friendly games and this Carousel set against the backdrop of the Meadow Theatre.
And what’s Christmas without snow? Well, fake snow at least — crowd favourite Blizzard Time will be back as well. The pseudo-snow show starts at 6.30pm, 7.55pm, 8.55pm, 9.55pm and 10.30pm daily, and lasts for 5 minutes each time.
