There’s a new seafood buffet spot in the CBD located within the newly-opened Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre hotel! Chara Brasserie boasts a sumptuous Mediterranean-Asian spread of over 100 varieties, including fresh seafood on ice, live rotisserie carvings, sashimi and sushi, DIY stations and more.
The vibe of Chara Brasserie is warm and inviting, and we like how the restaurant overlooks the outdoor rooftop garden and pool of the hotel, perfect for taking a stroll after your meal. Smack dab in the centre of the restaurant is their open kitchen, featuring the star of the entire menu: a Whole Baby Lamb Rotisserie that’s constantly rotating over an open flame—that’s how you know you’re about to be in for a real treat.
Prices for the buffet start from $58++ per person for lunch, and $68++ per person for dinner, and the items offered for the spread will differ slightly on different days of the week. But from now till 31st May 2024, you get to enjoy 25% off all buffet menus at Chara Brasserie from just $43.50++ per person (UP. $58++ per person), which makes it even more of a treat.
If we had to pick just a couple of items to go for seconds (and even thirds), we’d definitely be making a beeline for their Black Pepper Crayfish. Their signature Whole Baby Lamb and Whole Beef Ribs are also a must-eat for meat lovers, and we especially love the fact that the meat is seared over fire once more before serving to make sure you get yours piping hot.
Seafood lovers are in for a treat with a selection of fresh seafood on ice, including lobsters, flower crabs, crayfish, poached sea clams, mussels and more. There’s also plenty of sashimi, sushi and maki options available, plus Aburi Chirashi Dons that are freshly torched to order and you can top with unlimited dollops of ikura, ebiko or tobiko.
Definitely make room for other highlights from the buffet spread such as their Seafood Okonomiyaki, Seafood Paella, DIY Turkish Chicken Pita Pockets, Prata Puffs, Lobster Bisque; plus an array of desserts like mini cupcakes, puddings, freshly-made waffles with gelato and more.
