Popcorn lovers, Cathay Cineplexes’ highly popular Bring-Your-Own-Container deal is back, and you get to bring any size of container to fill with all the popcorn you want! The event will be happening for one day only on 4th September 2024, from 1pm to 6pm, exclusively at Cathay Cineplexes’ JEM outlet.

You can literally bring any size, shape or type of container you want, as long as they’re food-grade containers. All you have to do to claim your “unlimited” popcorn is purchase a Medium Popcorn Combo for $10 that comes with a medium-sized bag of popcorn and regular soda. On top of the original combo popcorn, you’ll also get to fill up the container that you brought with their Signature Caramel Popcorn, which the staff will fill up to the brim (up to a maximum of 3kg)!

As a general guide for the kinds of acceptable containers you can bring, containers that are allowed include PP storage boxes, plastic food containers, pails, buckets, non-fragile cookware, steel pots, rice cookers and pans. Containers that are strictly not allowed to be used at the event include trash/plastic bags, bins, glass jars, handbags, luggage, wooden boxes and more. For the full container guidelines, see here:

The event will officially commence from 1pm onwards till 6pm (while stocks last), but based on past events, queues for the popcorn redemption start as early as 11am.
