Just for this CNY season, the popular Johor Jaya Morning Market has been transformed into a bustling CNY Market, with over 60 vendors to explore and affordable prices too. You’ll find probably everything you could need for CNY at the market: ready-to-eat food, snacks, CNY cookies, fresh fruit, premium dried goods, canned items, decorations, flowers, gift hampers and more.

Prices at the market are also said to be more affordable than other CNY fairs in JB, with items starting from just RM4.50 (~$1.30 SGD) and food from RM8.99 (~$2.70) or even lower. Some of the items you’ll find at the market include tubs of CNY cookies/tarts, XL oranges, freshly-grilled bakkwa, sausages, dried scallops, sea cucumbers, bird’s nest, canned abalones, hotpot soups, festive apparel and floral decorations, just to name a few.

The market is open daily from 6am to 12am, with most stalls up and running by around 7am. There will also be festive events like lion dance performances and traditional Chinese music to add to the atmosphere. The event is ongoing from now till 28th January 2025, so you still have plenty of time to head down and snag your goods.
