1. Guerilla Coffee

Homegrown coffee micro-roastery Guerilla Coffee, has just opened a new flagship outlet at Kallang Riverside: a quaint and spacious café and bar concept away from the bustling crowd. The new flagship space features an aesthetic and rustic bohemian-inspired vibe with warm brick tones and wooden furniture.

The flagship also houses an in-house roastery, and they’ve also launched a new coffee tasting experience for coffee lovers, along with a new coffee-infused brunch menu. Highlights from their menu include Tamarind Sea Bass ($28), Grilled Picanha ($32), Cavatelli Ragu ($26) and more.

2. ICE&TIME

If you’re a kakigori fanatic, ICE&TIME is a shaved-ice specialty dessert café you’re definitely going to want to try. The space features a serene and zen-inspired Japanese vibe, with minimalist decor and even plant balls hanging from the skylight. Plus, they don’t charge GST or service charge either.

They boast probably one of the biggest and tallest kakigori desserts in Singapore, with 9 different flavours to choose from priced from $18.60 each. The kakigori desserts come in generous portions, with flavours like Strawberry Enchantment, Matcha Caramel Bliss, French Cocoa and more; along with a selection of rich matcha drinks and cake slices too.

3. Haus Coffee

If you’re a chunky sando lover, you won’t want to miss out on Sando’s latest outlet at New Tech Park. The popular sando-specialty café has just opened their second outlet with rustic old-school Japanese charm featuring dark woods and brick walls.

The café is known for their thick, stuffed Japanese-style sandos, with flavours like Truffle Tamagoyaki ($12.80), Beef Brisket ($16.80), Tonkatsu ($16.60), Hokkaido Zangi ($15.30) and more. They’ve also got Japanese rice bowls, all-day breakfast mains, sides and craft beers too.

If you were saddened by Korio’s closing last year, fret not: as the cult-favourite sando spot is now back for good, and better than ever! Korio now has a fully-fledged café space at the CBD, and they’ve even joined hands with Zouk Group to bring you their famous chunky sandos, NYC-inspired donuts and more.

Enjoy their eats in an industrial-inspired dine-in space, with their famous sandwiches that are fired up upon order. Some sando options to consider include the Mortadella & Pickles ($15.50), Caprese Grilled Cheese ($15), Lox ($18.50) and Smashed Meatballs ($15), among others.

Perched on the rooftop of the hip KADA enclave is Alani, a new brunch and bakery concept by the popular private dining restaurant Proud Potato Peeler. Their space boasts gorgeous Mediterranean garden vibes, with colourful terrazzo furniture and lush greens, plus a self-service bakery station filled with fresh bakes and pastries.

There’s indoor and outdoor seats available, and an open kitchen where you can watch all the action too. The bakes available from the display switch up daily, but some items you might see include Hazelnut Cake with Poached Pears, Fluffy Babka, Pistachio Praline Cinnamon Rolls, Porridge Sourdough, Brown Butter Cookies and more.
