You might’ve seen the viral bubble tea “blind box” vending machine in JB, where you get a free mystery toy with your drink order—and now Singapore has got our very own “blind box” dining concept too!
Nana & Friends is the first-ever “blind box” bingsu café concept in Singapore, where your desserts are served from a giant vending machine, and your order even comes with a free surprise plushie!
Blind box fanatics will definitely have a blast with their interactive dining experience: once your order is ready for collection, simply press the heart-shaped button and watch as your dessert (and mystery plushie) is unveiled via a rotating platform, accompanied by a whimsical animation and song too!
Their signature item has got to be their “avalanche” bingsu, with 6 different flavours, each priced at $18, inclusive of a free “blind box” plushie. The free “blind box” plushies are only applicable to bingsu orders, with 1 mystery plushie per bingsu. There are 5 original character designs available for now: Nana, Fluff, Moogie, Grumbo and Bunbun, with more characters to be launched in future. Note that you won’t be able to pick the character plushie, and they’ll be given out at random.

The bingsu comes served in a clear cylinder, and is layered with freshly shaved milk ice before being topped with cheese foam. Simply lift the cylinder to release the bingsu “avalanche” and watch the cheese foam cascade down. You also get a jiggly character pudding served alongside the bingsu. The bingsu flavours aren’t overly sweet, and the subtly savoury and light cheese foam offers a good balance to each bite. The bingsu are also available for takeaways.

Aside from bingsu, they’ve also got other sweet treats like mochi waffles, soda drinks and assorted mini tarts in flavours like Pistachio Raspberry, Earl Grey Lime, Peanut Butter Coffee, Dark Chocolate and more; along with a selection of savoury quiches too.
