It seems there’s still no end in sight for the viral kunafa trend—just when we thought we’ve seen all the kunafa desserts there are in Singapore, there’s yet another new kunafa creation that pops up on the scene.

We’ve seen kunafa-ed chocolate croissants, pancakes, cookies…and the latest kunafa treat is none other than kunafa-infused gelato! This new treat is created by the popular ice cream chain, Burnt Cones, and they’re said to be the first and only Dubai Chocolate Gelato in Singapore.

The new Dubai Chocolate gelato flavour sees layers of milk chocolate gelato, pistachio gelato and pistachio kunafa, and the whole tub of gelato is topped with a hard chocolate shell that’s cracked before scooping. While we’ve yet to try out the flavour for ourselves, we can definitely imagine the rich chocolatey and nutty flavour of the gelato, swirled in with crunchy bits of pistachio kunafa for that extra texture in every bite.

The Dubai Chocolate Gelato is available in a cup ($7 per scoop) or cone ($8 per scoop), or you can also get it in a pint ($24). The flavour is now available at all Burnt Cones outlets in Singapore and will be a permanent addition to the menu until further notice.
