The highly-anticipated arrival of famed Italian sailing vessel, Amerigo Vespucci, is finally here—and if you managed to snag your free tickets to come onboard the iconic ship, here’s what you can expect from your visit!
Explore the 93-year old Italian sailing ship
The Amerigo Vespucci has been active since 1931, making it the oldest active military ship in the navy. It’s also known as “the world’s most beautiful ship”, and having been onboard the ship ourselves, we can definitely see why.
The tall ship truly gives off grandiose and majestic vibes, with 3 vertical mast and 1 horizontal mast; with the tallest mast standing at over 50-metres high—we’re told that’s nearly as tall as the Tower of Pisa itself!
The ship’s design is also modelled in the old 18th to 19th century style, giving it that vintage feel. During your visit onboard, you’ll have free-and-easy access to most parts of the ship, and you’ll get to enjoy stunning views of the sea all around. While the tour won’t be guided, the ship’s crew will be around and will be happy to answer any questions you might have about the ship.
Exclusive Italian exhibition & retail store
After disembarking from the ship, feel free to stop by the retail store for exclusive Amerigo Vespucci merchandise (from $10), including postcards, keychains, shirts, bags, hats, accessories and more.
There will also be a special showcase and exhibition area where you can view some of the most iconic Made in Italy products; plus an immersive digital screening room too.
Italian Village with restaurant & café
Head to the Villagio Italia for some specially curated Italian fare, including freshly-made sweet or savoury pinsas (from $16), authentic gelato scoops (from $5) and artisanal coffee (from $5). You’ll also be able to enjoy a selection of wines by the glass ($16) or bottle (from $76) at the bar.
Access to the village area and dining options are free and open to the public, with no prior reservations required.
Book your tickets for free
You can snag tickets to come on board the Amerigo Vespucci for free via their website here. At the time of writing, we’re told that most tickets have already been snapped up due to extremely high demand. But if you didn’t manage to grab tickets to tour the ship, don’t fret: it’s likely that they’ll be releasing more limited slots, so fastest fingers first! If you’d like to take your chances by walking in without a booking, you might still be able to come aboard the ship, subject to availability on the day itself.
The ship is open for boarding at the following timeslots:

26th Oct: 10am-4.30pm
