You might have heard of Malaysia’s popular convenience store chain, MiX.Store, that has opened in Singapore with various outlets across the island. And for all you cartoon or anime lovers, they’ve got some new and unique character ice creams in-store—featuring Crayon Shin-Chan, One Piece, Doraemon and more!
Crayon Shin-Chan Ice Cream, $4.90
Pepe Sad Frog Ice Cream, $4.90
Each of the character ice creams are priced at $4.90, and you’ll find some of your favorite characters in 3D, including Shin-Chan, Doraemon, Kumamon, Pepe and One Piece. The Crayon Shin-Chan Ice Cream ($4.90) is shaped like Shin-Chan’s head, and is oolong peach chocolate flavour. Melon lovers will like the Pepe Sad Frog Ice Cream ($4.90) that’s shaped like the iconic frog meme itself.
Kumamoto Ice Cream, $4.90; Doraemon Ice Cream, $4.90
One Piece Blind Box Ice Cream, $4.90
One of our favourites is the Kumamoto Ice Cream ($4.90) that’s shaped like the Kumamon bear, and it’s milk chocolate cookie flavoured. The Doraemon Ice Cream ($4.90) is also in a pretty pastel blue hue, with intricate details inspired by scenes from Nobita’s Earth Symphony. You’ve heard of blind boxes for toys, but have you ever seen blind box ice cream? The One Piece Blind Box Ice Cream ($4.90) is a classic chocolate flavour and features 5 possible designs. Just like any other blind box, you won’t know which character you’ll be getting until you open the ice cream, but possible designs include Monkey D. Luffy, God Usopp, Nami and more.
Pleasant Goat Ice Cream, $4.90; Grey Wolf Ice Cream, $4.90
Other character ice cream options include the Pleasant Goat Ice Cream ($4.90) and Grey Wolf Ice Cream ($4.90) that are shaped like a sheep and goat’s head respectively. These unique character ice creams are available exclusively at MiX.Store’s Raffles Exchange and Orchard MRT outlets for now, but we heard that stocks are selling fast with most stocks available at Raffles Exchange. If you didn’t manage to snag them, not to worry—we’re told that they’ll be restocked at more outlets soon!
MiX.Store also has plenty of other unique imported snacks, sweets and drinks from Japan, Korea, Australia, Thailand, China, Vietnam and more. You’ll find more unique fruit-shaped ice cream, mega 18cm-long ice cream cones, the viral halal tanghulu sticks, limited-edition Hello Kitty and Pokémon snacks, just to name a couple.
