There’s been plenty of famous names from Japan opening in Singapore lately, and the newest addition to the roster is the fan-favourite Chiyoda Sushi: a popular affordable sushi takeaway chain with over 200 outlets all over Japan!

Chiyoda Sushi has been around since 1959, and is known for their pocket-friendly Edomae-style nigiri sushi that’s sold by the piece or in assorted sets, with prices of individual sushi starting from just 219 yen in Japan (~$1.90 SGD). The sushi chain specialises in takeout sushi that’s made fresh daily on-site. Just like in their Japan outlets, they’ll be using fresh seafood and ingredients air-flown directly from Toyko’s Toyosu Market for the Singapore branch.

The official menu for Chiyoda Sushi Singapore has yet to be announced, but judging from their official Japan website, you can probably expect the likes of various maki rolls, pressed sushi, nigiri, seasonal fish sets, fusion-style sushi rolls and more. The Singapore outlet will be opening at Plaza Singapura sometime this September 2024.
