Remember Doulos Hope, the “floating” bookstore and café that was docked in Singapore not too long ago? If you missed your chance to explore that ship, you’re in luck—there’s another iconic ship that just docked in Singapore’s shores, and you can board and explore the ship for free!

The iconic Mexican Navy Vessel Cuauhtémoc has made the voyage to Singapore as part of its “Tricontinental 2024” cruise. The Cuauhtémoc looks to spread the rich culture and heritage of Mexico to countries far and wide. So far, the ship has over 42 years of history, having sailed to over 60 countries and 200 ports to date.

The Cuauhtémoc is now docked at the VivoCity Waterfront Promenade, and admission is free for the public. Simply walk-in and board the ship, no pre-registration required. Visitors on board the ship can feel free to explore the deck and enjoy scenic views of the waterfront. You’ll even get to interact and snap photos together with actual Mexican sailors—in their striped uniforms and all.
