There’s been plenty of new dessert cafés and bakeries popping up in Singapore as of late, but one new opening that has caught our eye is ÁTIPICO, a French and Italian-inspired patisserie and café that has just opened its doors, and at the buzziest new mall in Singapore, New Bahru, no less.

ÁTIPICO is helmed by famed pastry chef, Chef Matteo, who’s trained in traditional French and Italian techniques, but also loves to incorporate modern elements and exotic ingredients in his food. ÁTIPICO was previously more of an online business for custom dessert orders and events, but you can now enjoy their delectable treats in a sit-down café from a pocket-friendly $5 each.

The space is cosy and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating available for customers. The interior mixes both natural and modern elements for a chic yet casual vibe, with both wood, marbled and steel furnishings all in one. You’ll also be able to see all of ÁTIPICO’s fresh bakes on display daily through their semi open-concept kitchen, and through the glass displays.

For those who love a sweet treat, their fresh bakes and desserts (from $5 each) are definitely worth trying, and are even pretty to look at. Some options include Mango Cruffin ($7), Confit Onion Speck Fontina Roll ($7), French Kiss ($13), Gateau St. Honore ($13) and Black Forest ($14); along with more classic options like Croissant ($5), Pain au Levain ($12) and Honey Oat Sourdough ($13), among others. There are also more substantial savoury brunch mains you can try, like the Beef Cheek ($36), Panino Alla Cotoletta ($22), Tomato Strawberry Basil Salad ($18), and more.
