Inspired by a style of art and design from China, Japan and other Asian countries, The Chinoiseries is a one-of-a-kind private home dining experience in a HDB that’s both luxurious and incredibly homey. Started by a French and Singaporean foodie couple, the name “Chinoiseries” comes from “chinois”—the French term for Chinese.
The Chinoiseries is located in a tastefully and artfully decorated HDB flat that exudes warm and welcoming vibes: from the numerous eye-catching artworks, warm lighting and cosy East-meets-West setting.
You’ll be enjoying a 5-course Tasting Menu ($168/pax) lovingly curated and prepared by the hosts themselves, who have experienced hosting countless 4-5-course plated dinners for friends, family and colleagues alike. The menu itself is subject to change according to seasonally available premium produce, but you can definitely expect restaurant-quality dishes and presentation to wow your senses.

During our visit, we were served a Brouillade made with free-range Australian farmed eggs, NZ Beech Wood Smoked King Salmon and Oscietra Caviar; Ceviche of Red Snapper with Ikura; Risotto with Foie Gras; Tournedos with Australian Black Angus Tenderloin; and Poire Pochèe made with Blush Pear for dessert. The Chinoiseries is also known to serve guests other premium ingredients during the course, including the likes of Truffles, Monkfish, Sea Urchin, Bottarga, Dorper Lamb, Quails and more!
The menu is available for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 persons and it would be ideal if your party is open to alcohol as the course also includes wine pairings. You are also welcome to let them know if you have any dietary restrictions before your visit and they will do their best to accommodate you. The Chinoiseries is also home to a friendly English bulldog who’ll be there to accompany you throughout your meal!
The Chinoiseries is very much a family-run affair and while the Mr and Mrs are cooking up a storm in the kitchen, you’ll be served by their lovely daughter (feel free to leave a tip if you’ve enjoyed the service). They currently only serve dinner from 7pm to 10pm on Thursdays to Saturdays. For enquiries, do contact
