We can’t get enough of minimalist café’s in Singapore, and this new café is probably the epitome of the minimalist aesthetic. Pomme is the newest kid on the block along South Bridge Road, with a super clean, no frills and white-themed interior.
Founded by a group of 4 friends and culinary graduates, the name ‘pomme’ comes from the Latin word ‘pomum”, meaning “fruit” and carries the hope that everyone who visits the café will see and taste the fruits of their labour. You’ll also see the fruit motif being put to use in some of their desserts.
The café’s interior and decor is very simple and stripped down, very fuss-free and Korean-inspired indeed. Pomme is a pâtisserie and café by day, serving pastries and brunch items till 2.30pm; before turning into a restaurant with more substantial mains at night.

Pomme’s desserts are definitely a must-order, made beautifully by their in-house pastry chefs. Every dessert on the menu is unique and super aesthetic (perfect for the ‘gram!) and some of them come in quirky shapes like the Pebble ($9.50) that’s made to resemble a stone/pebble, the Pomme ($11.50) that looks exactly like a green apple and the Gentle Daisy ($9)!
Other desserts on the menu that are worth a try include the Rumba ($9), Cleopatra ($12), Berry Ghurt ($9.50) and Manguó ($11), among others. They also have a range of assorted macarons and bakes available for takeaway.

Must-trys from the day menu include Hand-Cut Fries ($12) that you can get in 2 variations: Mentaiko or Shio Kombu, Crab Mafaldine ($23), Spanish Shakshuka ($20) and more. The day menu is served from 11.30am-2.30pm. The night menu is perfect for sharing amongst friends and family, with more substantial mains and sharing plates like Pork Belly with Nori Jam ($22), Miso Salmon ($32), Striploin ($45) and Beef Short Ribs ($28) just to name a few. The night menu is available from 6pm onwards.
