1.New Balance: Everybody’s Welcome
Dedicated to starting conversations, New Balance introduced its latest initiatives
in commemoration of Pride 2021, entitled “Everybody’s Welcome,” which includes a collection of footwear and apparel, and two short films that feature the story of the Front Runners New York Pride Run.
Inspired by the global LGBTQIA+ community and rooted in vibrancy and playfulness, the 2021 PRIDE collection features art by queer Hong Kong visual artist, Zoie Lam. The footwear and apparel in the collection presents original designs by Zoie that are emblematic of happiness and optimism. Her genderless characters are quirky and kind-hearted; exemplifying warmth and underlining our belief that everybody is welcome, no matter how you identify.
This vibrant collection includes a range of apparels and shoes from singlet ($45), graphic tees ($49), shorts ($69), anorak outerwear ($129), to the Fresh Foam Tempo running shoe ($179), a classic 57/40 ($179) and sandal ($69). Singlets, graphic tees and shorts will be available at all New Balance stores except at Parkway Parade and Tampines Mall, whilst the anorak outerwear can be found exclusively at Paragon and Vivocity stores. All three models of shoes will be available at Jewel Changi, Paragon, Suntec City, Bugis Junction and Vivocity
stores. This collection is expected to drop on 3rd June 2021.
2. Converse Pride
Celebrate the journey to Pride with a bright, new collection and customizable designs inspired by the stories of LGBTQIA+ All Stars. Inspired by five All Stars, each style from the collection features part of a graphic that explores the duality of struggle and joy along the journey to self-love. Featuring jagged mountains that transition into free-flowing blossoms, the graphic illustrates that—even on our own journey—we march down the same road with pride.
Of its innumerable offering, the Converse Pride collection showcases the $115 Pride Run Star Hike, $95 Pride Chuck 70, $65 Pride Chuck Taylor All Star, and $30 Pride All Star Slides, alongside other customisable options with personalised patches and laces. The Converse Pride collection will be available online and in-stores in Singapore from 19th June.

Floral embroidery appears all-throughout the once-basketball-court-staple, with a detail missing from the accompanying canvas Nizzas, and a “LOVE UNITES” messaging appearing on the pair’s lateral heel, nodding to one of the underlying themes of Pride Month. Now available for sale online via ZALORA, Singaporeans are invited to shop the brand’s latest accessory, footwear, and clothing line which includes $10 Pride Crew Socks, $70 Nizza Slip-on Pride shoes, a $30 LOVE UNITES bucket hat, and a $90 gender neutral LOVE UNITES Windbreaker, amongst a multitude of others.
