With the Covid pandemic still going on, it looks like wearing masks will continue to stay as the norm for quite some time to come. But new company MASKFONE is here to surprise us with their latest invention – a smart-phone integrated face mask featuring wireless earphones and a special built-in microphone that is compatible with Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Now you can control your phone just by talking to your face mask!
In light of the pandemic, the mask is designed with the user’s safety in mind – with the built-in microphone, users no longer have to remove their masks when taking calls to prevent muffledness. In addition, the mask can also be used as a voice projector in day-to-day conversations and has a 12-hour playtime when fully charged. You may even adjust the volume with control buttons located at the side of the mask to suit your level of comfort.
Wireless earphones are clipped to the mask’s ear hooks, and can be removed when not in use. This way, users will not have to worry about wires getting tangled with their masks as well.
As for functionality, the face mask comes with replaceable medical-grade PM2.5 or N95 filters which have a filtration rate of 95%. Each filter can be used for up to 200 hours and can be bought in refill packs at US$19.99.
For those interested, MASKFONE has started pre-orders at US$49.99. For international orders, expect an additional shipping fee of US$9.99. As the company has only just unveiled its product 6 days ago, there may be a bit of a wait before they are fully launched.
