Theme parks generally bring unforgettable experiences, whether it’s the time you puked non-stop after a horrifying ride or sat on a romantic ferris wheel with your significant other. But there’s one amusement park in particular that may etch onto your memory as possibly the most interesting (and Instagrammable) carnival: Cosmo World in Yokohama, Japan.
This amusement park, located in the center of the Minato Mirai district, is famed for their ride Diving Coaster “Vanish!”. Apart from its pretty pastel pink shade, Diving Coaster has a climax which involves ‘vanishing’ into an underground tunnel full speed and coming back up.
Here’s a POV video to experience the ride from your screen:
Apart from this exhilarating roller coaster ride, Cosmo World is also recognised for the Cosmo Clock 21, formerly the tallest ferris wheel in the world.
When the sun sets, the ferris wheel captivates with full colour LED lighting that makes for excellent photo taking.
In addition, the LED lights reflect on the roller coaster too, transforming the ride into a stunning rainbow display.
Unlike other theme parks, Cosmo World does not have a pay-per-entry fee; rather, rides are charged separately. They average about 700 Yen (~S$9) for an adult ride and 300 Yen (~S$3) for a kiddy ride.
