A guide on conquering Singapore’s largest creative market
Artbox is finally here, but hold your horses before you dive right in! With it spanning over a whopping 140,000 square feet and boasting over 400 stalls, you’ll need a game plan to cover Singapore’s largest creative market yet. We’ve gone ahead and sussed out what’s most fun and worth-visiting in 3 categories for you: activities, food, and retail.
Artsy installations and vintage arcade games
Best known for their rows and rows of fairy lights, you’ll be able to find the usual vintage cars, beautified shipping containers, and quirky props lying around for you to take photos with.
To really jazz up your Instagram page though, dive into their one-of-a-kind foam pit that’s filled with quirky inflatable floats and snap away!
Simply pay $5 or spend a minimum of $20 with any cashless payment method at the market to enter for free!
Right opposite it lies a container filled with old-school arcade machines – think Daytona, air hockey, and basketball!
Tokens are available at 1 for $2, and 6 for $10.
Live performances by musicians like Finding Jane, Kyla T, and Falling Feathers will also be available for you to groove to as you shop, and release the kid in you at their carnival games, bumper cars, and carousel!
Let loose at Singha’s beer party – they’ve got live DJs spinning, beer pong, and a photo booth to boot.
Their beers are going at a promotional price of 5 bottles for $35!
If you’re a thrill-seeker, step up to the challenge at MTV Asia’s Fear Factor VR Flag Challenge booth. You’ll have to balance on a “wooden plank” that’s “40 floors above ground” to collect the MTV Fear Factor flag that’s perched precariously at its edge.
Tasty food
Of course, Artbox can never be without food – dig into a massive array of staple Thai dishes like breaded prawns, grilled pork skewers, pad thai, and mango sticky rice, and international goodies like takoyaki, gourmet sausages, and so on.

Once you’re all loaded up with refreshments, make your way to the brand new dining area, which resembles a relaxing courtyard with its beach umbrellas, hammocks, and wooden tables and chairs on artificial grass.
Quirky knick-knacks
From fashion apparels to household and lifestyle items, here’s a couple of local and Thai vendors to look out for – the immensely popular Porky Studio that specialises in adorable wooden cutlery, Thanom Bags, who makes versatile and durable tote bags and pouches, and Nokkajib, the talented artist who hand-paints your pet’s portraits on clothes and accessories!

Plus, vending machines from Hey Box are at the market too, which means you just might walk away with a PS4, Xbox One, or even an iPhone!
When you’re all ready to leave with your arms full of Artbox goodies, make sure to stop by Contiki’s booth that’s located near the activity zone – so long as you’ve spent $50 or more, you’ll qualify for a chance to participate in a lucky draw that’ll send you on a trip for 2 in Europe.
