Let 'em Play – The First Augmented Reality Rock Climbing Wall in Singapore

You might have probably seen a viral video of two people playing ping-pong on an Augmented Reality rock-climbing wall. What if we said, we finally have one in our country ourselves?
SHOUT - Let 'em Play
Let ’em Play by The WOW Experience is not only Singapore’s first kid-friendly indoor high elements obstacle course, but also the first place to offer the markedly exciting Augmented Reality Wall. With its location in Boon Lay, families in the West are blessed with yet another thrilling recreational space besides trampoline parks.
SHOUT - Let 'em Play
With a multitude of different walls, as well as an indoor high-elements obstacle course, Let ’em Play allows participants to have a go at everything at a single place. Rainy days will never ruin your determination to conquer the high elements anymore.
LEP15
On top of the high elements, Let ’em Play has also put together a robotics lab at its premises, equipped with Singapore’s widest range of educational programmable robotic kits from all over the world. With workshops specially designed for every age group, all are welcomed to learn more about new-age robots and technological programming — maybe then you could finally build your very own R2-D2.
Without further ado, we set off to try some of the activities Let ’em Play has to offer.
Indoor High Elements
LEP22
First on our agenda were the Indoor High Elements — Singapore’s first 2-storey obstacle course featuring several different routes high up in the air.
LEP9
Test your concentration and balancing skills with seventeen different suspension bridges, ropes, and logs — all while connected to a safety rope for when you slip. The elements here aren’t too high, making them perfect for children, or even those who need to conquer their fear of heights.
Tree Climb
SHOUT - Let 'em Play
Kids have probably dreamed about scaling a tree at some point in the lives. With the Tree Climb, they will finally be able to live out their fantasy a little – with no fear of getting hurt.
Speed Climb
LEP29
Leave speed climbing to the professionals no longer. If you’ve always wanted to try your hand at this, Let ’em Play has just the wall for you.
Armed with the latest auto-belay system technology, there will be no need for you to worry about anyone belaying you. Instead, have the luxury to go as fast, or as slow, as you’d like. Here, challenge yourself to beat your personal best every time.
Augmented Reality Climbing
LEP26
Finally, the one we had all been waiting for. If you’re unfamiliar with Augmented Reality walls, they are basically walls with graphics projected onto them, paired with proprietary body tracking to create a variety of interactive games.
We’ve seen our fair share of videos featuring Augmented Reality walls, and were ecstatic to finally have the opportunity to try our hand at it ourselves at Let ’em Play — the first in Singapore to bring this technology in.
SHOUT - Let 'em Play
Suitable for any skill level and age, the AR wall features hundreds of distinct routes and games, creating new challenges for you as a climber each time. Eliminate bats to attain the highest score or play ping-pong with a partner — but be careful not to lose your footing in the heat of the competition.
