The biggest art and music festival, Neon Lights, is back this weekend, with many exciting acts and activities available over two days for those who are headed down. Through the weekend, immerse yourself in theatre with an interactive murder mystery play, head down to an organic market for some fresh produce, or indulge in some fine dining at the Masterchef Dining experience.
1. Neon Lights

Neon Lights is Singapore’s premier music and arts festival with more than 150 music and art performances over two days. Headlining acts Foals and Sigur Rós have caused a stir among audiophiles who are eagerly anticipating these acts and more. There will be roving arts performances and look out for installations all around the area.

2. 27th Sgiff: Talks – Developing Screenplays in Singapore

Interested in screenwriting but never got a chance to properly learn it? Sit down at this talk with four experienced screenwriters, including three writer-directors, to learn about the creative process that goes on before filming, and delve into the pains and pleasures of writing a script. The screenwriters include Ken Kwek, Wong Kim Hoh, Boo Junfeng, and Sanif Olek.

3. Organic-Friendly Farmers’ Market

With an array of fresh produce, spices for flavouring, sauces to complement your dishes and handcrafted breads and snacks, this market is a foodie’s haven. If you spot some unique foods or condiments that your loved ones will like, you can pick it up for them as an early Christmas gift. Present at the market are some helpful vendors who will teach you how to grow your own food.

5. Singapore Biennale 2016

After a 3 year break, Singapore Biennale 2016 is back again with the theme  “An Atlas of Mirrors”. It is an international contemporary art exhibition featuring artists from East, South and Southeast Asia, and this year it explores shared histories and current realities within and beyond the region. This exhibition features never seen before artworks by more than 60 artists across Southeast Asia, and East and South Asia.

6. Body X – The Rehearsal

Following the sold out performance The Wedding in 2014, the creative team returns with The Rehearsal, a murder mystery production. Set in the 1970s, The Arts House will be transformed into a grand old mansion in accordance with the setting. This interactive performance requires you to decide which scenes to follow as the plot unfolds simultaneously in multiple spaces within the House. You have to collect the clues and piece the puzzle to determine the identity of the murderer.
