1. SkatePark @ Lakeside Garden
The biggest outdoor skatepark in Singapore is finally open, situated within the scenic confines of the newly developed Lakeside Garden. The 17,000 square metre space boasts 5 skate pods that are suited for both beginner and pro skaters alike.
Look forward to tackling the Skate Drain Pod, Mini Bowl Pod, Big Bowl Pod, Plaza Pod and more. There will also be a parkour park and bouldering wall at the skatepark, so there’s plenty to do even if you’re not a skater! After skating and sweating it out, head to The Ride Side Café for some fuel and more skating goods.

2. Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore
After the highly-anticipated opening of Super Nintendo World in Japan back in 2021, Singaporeans all over have been waiting with bated breath for the popular attraction to make its way to our shores as well, and they were not disappointed.
Super Mario creator and Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto has announced that a Super Nintendo World is slated to open in Singapore’s USS as well, hopefully by 2025. While no details have been announced for the rides and attractions at Singapore’s Nintendo World, we hope to see similar offerings as Japan like Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure, Donkey Kong: Mine Cart Madness.

3. Bird Paradise
The opening of the highly-anticipated Bird Paradise is finally here, coming this 8th May 2023! Bird Paradise is Asia’s Largest Bird Park, where you get to catch amazing bird presentations, guided tours, feeding sessions and more. Look forward to new zones like the Winged Sanctuary, Penguin Cove, Heart of Africa, Wings of Asia, Crimson Wetlands, Amazonian Jewels and more.
There will also be various dining experiences in the park where you get to dine with a scenic waterfall view, in view of penguins and even enjoy a little bird-spotting! Tickets will be on sale from 24th April 2023, and from 8th to 26th May 2023, you can enjoy a special rate of $38 (UP. $48) per adult.

4. Nirup Island
While not exactly in Singapore per se, Nirup Island is posed to be your next luxury Bali or Maldives-inspired island getaway situated just 15 minutes (by yacht) away from Singapore! There will be daily ferries from Singapore’s ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove port that’s take you to Batam, then to the island itself.
Visitors to the island can look forward to luxurious oceanfront villas, residences, hotel resorts, watersports, seafood restaurants, sunset bars and more. As for accommodation, the island will have various hotels and villas boasting stunning panoramic 360 views of the island.

5. Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore
The closure of the popular Madagascar Zone at USS has left many park goers wanting, but just a little longer and we’ll be welcoming a brand new Minion Land at USS that’s sure to excite both kids and Minion fans alike.
Works for the upcoming Minion Land are already well under way, with the attraction slated to open in 2024. Minion Land will mark the very first themed zone in Singapore dedicated to the adorable and cheeky yellow creatures, and will feature new rides including a 3D Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride, plus themed souvenir shops and restaurants.

6. Singapore Oceanarium
The S.E.A. Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa is set to be revamped to become the Singapore Oceanarium by 2024. The new Oceanarium is said to be a mega expansion project that will highlight the evolution and history of prehistoric marine life.
Visitors can look forward to an extensive collection of marine life (both real and digital) through interactive technology and installations. You’ll even get to see realistic holographic interpretations of rare prehistoric creatures that used to roam the earth at the new Oceanarium.

7. Disney Cruise Line
No Disneyland in Singapore? No problem. Singapore will soon have the next best thing to a Disney attraction, a Disney Cruise Line! Starting 2025, Singapore will become a home port for the new Disney Cruise Line, the largest ship out of the entire Disney fleet that can board up to 6000 guests.
Guests onboard can look forward to meeting their favourite Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Disney princesses, Marvel and more. There will also be plenty of Disney-themed attractions and entertainment like musicals, firework shows, Disney “Private Island”, water activities and more.

8. Rainforest Park
Mandai Wildlife Reserve is set to have a new tropical rainforest experience that will focus on highlighting the rainforests of Southeast Asia and equatorial Africa through rich and lush flora and fauna habitats.
Look forward to an immersive experience that will bring visitors closer to indigenous animals of the rainforests through unique play and interactive features as well. Planning and construction for the new Rainforest Park is still in the works, so there is currently no fixed date for the opening yet.
