Brought to you by the brains behind Stay Gold Flamingo, White Shades is described as a unique “cocktail playground” unlike any other bar you’ve seen before.

The classy and swanky space boasts a pretty intimate setting, with moody denmark leather and black hues, as well as minimal booth and counter seating. The bespoke cocktail menu offers unique tipples at $25 each, such as the theatrical Savi Galloping, Floral Beauty, Aging Process and more. They also offer a small selection of food and bar snacks like Carpaccio ($18), Scallops ($14), Charred Broccolini ($12) and Truffle Parm Fries ($12), to name a few.

2. Jane Provision Shop

Jane Provision Shop is the epitome of the moody aesthetic, with a minimal vintage-style Japanese vibe. The bar used to operate as a dessert café called The Plain Jane, but has since rebranded to become a cosy neighbourhood bar. Jane sits right below a HDB block, oozing that warm, welcoming and homey ambience that feels as if you’re sitting in someone’s living room.

Staying true to their Japanese flavour, the cocktail and food menu are both Japanese-inspired. For drinks, you can get their Number 1 ($18), Highball ($10), Umeshu (from $10), Chu Hai (from $11), among others; and you can also get their sakes by the bottle. Jane offers small bites and comforting food like Cold Curry Noodle ($15), Steamed Egg in a Cup ($4.50), Ochazuke ($7) and more.

Nestled within the newly-opened Pan Pacific Orchard is Florette, a luxe and glamorous space surrounded by the hotel’s lush Garden Terrace. Named after the Roman goddess of flowers, Florette boasts stunning panoramic views of the city from the 11th floor of the hotel, as well as gorgeous floral accents decorating the chic space.

This personalised service is exclusive to their members, and you get to draw your own spirits straight from the barrel! For the public, you can still enjoy their bar space, with a modern Scandi-inspired wood theme.

The future of drinking is sustainable, says Fura, a one-of-a-kind cocktail bar that champions sustainable eating and drinking through some truly unexpected ingredients. Think invasive species like jellyfish in your cocktails, or even insects and mealworms in your food! The quirky space also features sustainable elements like environmentally-friendly coasters and stools. There’s even a little outdoor herb garden where some of the produce is harvested directly to your table.

Probably one of the most viral bar openings in Singapore lately, Lou Shang boasts a super nostalgic HDB-themed space, even down to the “lift lobby” and shared corridor area. Conceptualised by the folks at Mama Diam, Lou Shang is located right above Mama Diam at Prinsep. The details in the decor is really spot on, from the retro-style items like void deck tables, metal tinkat as dishware, clothes hanging on bamboo poles, feather dusters and more.
