We love omakase, but sometimes going for a quality omakase meal can be quite burdensome—especially for the wallet. Lucky for you omakase lovers, we found a casual yet chic restaurant where you can go for a super affordable omakase course that’ll satisfy your tastebuds and is easy on the wallet!
Sevens Kappo Japanese Dining is a chic rustic and monochrome-themed restaurant, and they offer a super pocket-friendly 7-course lunch omakase for just $38++ per person! This is Singapore’s cheapest omakase (as far as we know), and despite the accessible price tag, they don’t compromise on finesse or quality in the slightest. For the $38++ Tsuki lunch course, diners can look forward to Sakizuke, Zensai, Sashimi, Chawanmushi, Tempura, Soba and a dessert.
During our visit, everything was presented beautifully, with each dish showcasing the restaurant’s fine attention to detail. As with all other omakase, Sevens Kappo’s omakase course is not fixed, and you can expect to see seasonal ingredients served during your visit, depending on what’s the best in season. Aside from the $38++ lunch course, Sevens Kappo also serves other lunch courses for different budgets: $58++, $88++, $118++ and $178++. They also offer dinner courses at $78++, $128++, $178++, $238++ and $280++; as well as other a la carte dishes. For the full menu, see here.
