Sands Art Gallere specialises in quartz sands and 3D modelling art workshops where you can create unique 3D and textured artworks and take them home all in just one day! One of their most popular workshops are the vintage-style 3D floral artworks featuring gorgeous flowers like tulips, canterbury bells, roses, sunflowers and more, embellished with pearls and ribbons.

Mixed Boutique Sands Painting (RM280)
We went for their Advanced 3D Tulip (RM220) and Mixed Boutique Sands Painting (RM280) workshops, both of which can be completed within a day as each session lasts approximately 4 hours. You’ll get to try your hand at various painting techniques, mixing different coloured paints with actual sand to create textured landscapes, sculpting 3D flowers from scratch using a palette knife, and painting on 3D flower sculptures.
The pieces might look a little daunting for amateur or beginner artists, but you don’t have to worry even if you’re inexperienced or have little artistic sense. After trying out the workshops for ourselves, we can safely say that they’re definitely beginner-friendly, and the experienced art instructors will be there to guide and assist you every step of the way so you’ll end up with a beautiful art piece to take home at the end of it!
There are various workshop types you can book starting from an affordable RM160 (~$50 SGD) each. They’ve also got a tufting studio on the 3rd floor so you can tuft your own DIY rug if painting is not your cup of tea. Sands Art Gallere is located just 15 minutes away from the checkpoint, and it’s also pet-friendly with the owner’s pet dogs roaming around the space as you paint.
