Talk about a stunning dessert café with million dollar views: famed pastry chef Janice Wong has recently opened her latest café outlet, and it’s sitting right on top of the Supertree Observatory at Gardens by the Bay!
Janice Wong at the Supertree sits at the top level of the Supertree Observatory, standing at a whopping 16 stories high—that’s about 50 metres above ground! The café is also encased in floor-to-ceiling glass windows all around for a “glasshouse”-esque vibe, offering 360-degree views from any seat in the space.
You can also step outside the café into the observatory itself and take a walk around the entire Supertree for stunning panoramic views of the Gardens below and the city skyline beyond. The new café offers outlet-exclusive desserts you won’t find at other Janice Wong outlets, and they’re even inspired by Gardens by the Bay itself!

Indulge in gorgeously decorated entremets reminiscent of elements of the Gardens, such as Floral Fantasy ($12), Garden ($12), Red Dot ($12), Supertree ($12) and Cloud Forest ($12). They’ve also incorporated familiar local flavours of Singapore into the desserts! One of our favourites from the series has got to be the Cloud Forest, that’s not only uber pretty and shaped like an actual cloud, but also richly flavoured with gula melaka, coffee and pistachio.

They also serve various drinks like specialty tea, coffee and even curated cocktails from the bar to pair with your sweets. You can also get local-inspired cookies (from $8 per bag), Janice Wong’s iconic chocolate bon bons (from $25 per box) and other specialty chocolate bars (from $12) straight from their retail section.
Note that you will need a ticket to the Supertree Observatory (from $10 per adult) in order to access and dine at Janice Wong. This admission ticket will grant you access to the Supertree itself: the observatory, the café and the rooftop deck as well. Even if you’re not a tourist, we think a visit to Janice Wong at the Supertree is well worth the journey (and the admission fee). Not only do you get absolutely stunning birds-eye views of the city, you also get to enjoy treats among the clouds—definitely a great spot for dates!
