Singapore’s thrift scene is about to get even better: the famous luxury pre-loved fashion store chain from Japan, 2nd STREET is opening here soon! The hoarding for 2nd STREET has been spotted at 313@Somerset’s Basement 1 level, and is set to occupy a pretty big space, from units #B1-23 to 34.

If you’re a frequent thrift shopper in Japan, you’ve probably already come across some of 2nd STREET’s outlets there, as they’re the largest second-hand thrift stores around. 2nd STREET is known for their affordable selection of branded and luxury items, from clothes, shoes, accessories and more. The thrift chain has over 900 stores globally, including Japan, USA, Thailand, Taiwan and more.

Some of the designer brands you might be able to spot instore include the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Loewe, Rolex, Maison Margiela, Comme des Garçons, A Bathing Ape, Supreme, adidas, Nike, Levi’s, The North Face, New Balance, patagonia, Champion, Ralph Lauren, Moncler and more. Aside from buying pre-loved items, you can also drop off your own pre-loved goods to sell and get them appraised in-store in exchange for cash on the spot.

2nd STREET’s prices in Japan are said to be quite accessible, ranging from around 4000 yen to 10,000 yen (~$35 to $89 SGD) per item. While we’re not sure if items at the Singapore outlet will be priced similarly (since the store is located in the prime Orchard area), we sure hope prices can be kept relatively low. Official opening date for 2nd STREET in Singapore has yet to be announced, but you can stay tuned to their socials for the latest updates.
