This Japanese restaurant is helmed by a chef with over 25 years of experience in Japanese haute cuisine, and he shows off his culinary prowess through fresh seasonal ingredients that are mainly flown in from Japan.

MARUKYU serves omakase courses for both lunch and dinner, and their Lunch Omakase Hana ($68) comes with 6 courses of seasonal appetisers, sashimi, a simmered dish, a grilled dish, noodle and dessert. NOKA by Tippling Club, best known for their contemporary, artful and inventive cuisine, is a hidden spot perched atop Funan’s rooftop, overlooking the garden. NOKA has a new lunch omakase with 6 courses for $80 with premium ingredients highlighting Japan’s seasonal best.

9. GOHO

GOHO is a unique contemporary Kaiseki and cocktail bar concept that champions the 5 keu culinary techniques of Japanese cooking: Cutting, Simmering, Grilling, Steaming and Deep-frying. They’re currently serving a Winter Menu from now till 5th April 2023, with a Sakura ($98) omakase course consisting of 9 courses and 11 dishes in total.

What’s special about the omakase at GOHO is that unlike other omakase, you get to choose which dishes you want from the menu and “build-your-own” omakase journey.
