Just last June, ArtScience Museum unveiled their very first screening room/cinema dedicated just for film screenings, with spacious and comfortable seating for an immersive cinematic experience. The ArtScience Cinema is a silent cinema and you’ll be given special surround-sound wireless headphones to enjoy the film with.

Expect a stellar line-up of award-winning documentaries, film festival films and popular blockbusters, cinematic retrospectives and more; with a mix of both free and paid films. If you’re looking to visit the ArtScience Cinema, make sure to arrive 15 minutes before the film starts to secure your preferred seats as the cinema is a free seating venue. 2. Really Really Free Market

Yes, you read that right—everything is really free at the Singapore Really Really Free Market, a temporary roving flea market that encourages a community based on sharing and exchanging resources so as to reduce wastage by reusing and recycling what we don’t need anymore. Feel free to join the market as a contributor or simply stop by and pick up whatever you need!

One man’s trash can indeed become another man’s treasure as anything and everything is welcome for exchange at the flea market: from pre-loved goods like books, clothes, toys, CDs, food and more, to even services like tarot card reading, hair cutting, poetry writing, singing—the possibilities are endless! 3. Movie Screenings at Changi Airport

Even if you’re not travelling, there’s plenty of things for you to do at Changi Airport! If you’ve got some time to kill, stop by ST3PS at Basement 2 of Terminal 3 and enjoy free family-friendly movie screenings on ultra high-definition LED screens!

There’s a different movie theme for each week of the month, such as Action Thrillers, Fantasy & Mythological, Romance and Animations. Look forward to popular blockbuster movies like Avengers, Johnny English, Kung Fu Panda, Alice in Wonderland, Zootopia and more! 4. Esplanade Performances

5. BELIEVE Exhibition

Venture into a magical world of fantastical and mythical creatures with this unique exhibition featuring some never-before-seen creatures! The one-of-a-kind exhibition brings fantastical and fictional creatures into reality, such as fairies, three-headed dogs, and other mythical creatures conjured by the brilliant minds at Black Crow, created and assembled using various bugs and skeletal remains.

6. Cartier La Panthère Exhibition

Take a step “Into The Wild” at Cartier’s new exhibition at Gardens by the Bay! Titled La Panthère, the exhibition is a celebration of the luxury fashion house’s iconic mascot and spirit animal, the panther. View the history of La Panthère and discover more about the beloved emblem that has been a signature motif since 1914.

Look forward to tons of elegant, glamorous and edgy photo ops at the exhibition, with interconnected chambers that will take you through a journey of exploration though interactive digital, physical, sensory and tactile spaces. 7. Can You See My Screen? Exhibition

In light of an increasingly digital world, Singapore Art Museum’s (SAM) latest exhibition aptly titled Can Everybody See My Screen? aims to explore the relationship between humans and technology as we navigate virtual, physical, digital and phygital spaces in our everyday lives.

This free cyberpunk-themed exhibition has 12 fun and unique interactive artworks and installations for you to enjoy. Try your luck at the claw machine where you can get an exclusive print; or watch i.Mirror, a 28-minute short film and have some fun at the interactive video wall! 8. Japan Omiyage Fair

If you’re missing the Land of the Rising Sun, head over to the highly-anticipated Japan Omiyage Fair at Isetan that’s back for another run this year! Soak in some Japan vibes and take a stroll around the fair’s offerings that’s double that of the previous fair. There will be a total of 16 brands and 55 products available, all imported from various regions of Japan. 

Expect a slew of cult-favourite Japanese snacks and goodies like the renowned Tokyo Banana, Shiroi Koibito and more; plus some autumn-exclusive goods like Tokyo Tamago’s Sweet Potato Tamago and Kamakura Hangetsu Ringo. There will be a total of 16 brands and 55 products available, all imported from various regions of Japan. 9. Japan Matsuri Fair

Get a taste of Japan at the Japan Matsuri Fair happening at Jurong Point, complete with street food, games and even a photobooth where you can pose for pictures dressed in a yukata! Food stalls to look forward to include takoyaki, okonomiyaki, Okinawa-style onigiri; as well as our very own local brands like Sourbombe Bakery and Maki-San!

10. Singapore Symphony Orchestra Concerts

Attending a symphony orchestra concert doesn’t always have to be a fancy (and expensive) affair. For those who enjoy activities that are more ~cultured~, Singapore Symphony Orchestra has plenty of free concerts for you to enjoy and indulge in a little good ol’ arts appreciation.
