1. Quah Song & Co

If you feel like eating a croissant today and everyday, pop by Quah Song & Co tucked away in the quaint Everton Park neighbourhood. Quah Song’s artisanal croissants and bakes are handcrafted fresh daily, so you can pick them up early for breakfast.

While Quah Song is mainly a takeaway spot, they do have limited communal bench seats within the space if you want to enjoy your bakes on the spot. Their no-frills pastry menu isn’t fancy at all, only offering the classics like Butter Croissant ($4.50), Pain au Chocolat ($5) and Banana Loaf ($5), with a selection of coffee drinks to pair with the bakes.

You might have seen queic’s viral oozy cheesecakes all over social media, and for cheesecake fans, they’ve opened a new outlet in a more central location at Scotts Square in Orchard! The café is decked in the brand’s classic sunshine yellow colour, and there’s a couple tables within the space for dine-ins too.

queic is most famous for the Olivia’s Signature Cheesecake ($15), a tart-style cheesecake with a caramelised top and the most gooey, molten centre that’s almost like liquid cheese. They’ve also got other types of cheesecakes, like the classic basque burnt cheesecake, plus other cakes featuring cheeses like brie, gruyere, stilton and more.

3. Broti

You’ve seen them at food festivals and pasar malams, and now they’ve opened a brick and mortar store in the Bugis area too! Broti is a popular jumbo milk tea store; but aside from the fan-favourite milk tea, they’ve also got iced teas, sodas and coffee too.

The new spot is more of a takeaway kiosk than a fully-fledged café, and it’s also in collaboration with Offday Coffee. They’ve got signature drinks like the Thai Milk Tea ($6), Green Milk Tea ($6), Earl Grey Milk Tea ($6), Lavender Milk ($6.50) and more.

4. Canopy Garden Dining

Following the re-opening of Jurong Lake Gardens, popular pet-friendly café chain, Canopy Garden Dining, has also opened within the gardens! The new Canopy outlet boasts stunning and scenic views of the gardens, with gorgeous wood architecture and high ceilings.

5. Cata Coffee

Standing sushi bar, and now a standing café too? Cata Coffee is the latest café opening in Joo Chiat, with a unique standing café slash coffee concept, a little like the coffee spots you might see in Melbourne or Japan.

The quirky space is almost like a showroom of sorts, with a central bar area surrounded by standing tables and corners for you to enjoy your coffee and bakes, no seats! Aside from specialty coffees, they’ve also got sweet and savoury bakes by Saga Bakeshop: like Pizza Simit, Lemon Citron Cake, sourdough bread loaves and more.

6. Whiskdom

You’re probably no stranger to Whiskdom’s cult-favourite blackout brownies and chunky cookies, and now they’ve opened a new café space where you can get your favourite sweet treats, plus enjoy a sit-down brunch too!

The new Whiskdom outlet is located at Bedok, offering a selection of chunky bagels in addition to their dessert items. Loaded bagels come in options like Salmon Avocado ($19), Truffle Chicken ($16); and they’ve also got other mains like OG Beefin Rice Bowl ($13), Seafood Tomyum Pasta ($26) and more.

8. Bon Bon Coffee

If you love Japanese-style chunky sandos, Bon Bon Coffee’s the spot for you. Located within Taste Orchard, Bon Bon Coffee ‘s modest little corner brings you specialty coffee and toasted sandos loaded with fillings. There’s also a small retail area for you to shop for drinkware and coffee-making equipment.

For coffee, they’ve got classic options from $4.90 featuring their seasonal coffee brew of the day, as well as Iced Matcha Latte ($8.90). For now, they’re only serving one kind of sando, the Hot Tamago Sando ($15.90), but might expand their sando menu in future.

9. CATEA

There’s lots of cat cafés all around, but CATEA is probably the first-ever cat teahouse and bar in Singapore! It’s located in Thomson and boasts Japanese-inspired minimalist zen vibes, adorable ragdoll cats and no entrance fees! All you have to do is be a dine-in customer at the teahouse, and you’re free to play and interact with the cats.

They’ve got a treehouse-inspired cat tree for the ragdoll cats to play with, and you can enjoy various premium Chinese brewed teas such as Yashi DuckShit DanCong ($18) and Orchid Golden GuanYin ($22); along with bites like Preserved Dried Fruits ($5/plate) and Chinese Pastry ($6).

This hidden 2-storey standalone café is pet-friendly, and you get to dine in actual tents! NOMADS is tucked away within Seletar Aerospace Park, and they’ve got actual camping tents for you to dine in, along with camping tables, chairs and food served in mess tins and steel plates!
