True Love Cafe – Bangkok’s Husky Cafe

With the onslaught of cat cafes in Singapore, a rewarding change of scenery would be Bangkok’s one and only True Love Café, founded and managed by former Husky breeders, with the main feature being the 17 to 20 adorable huskies they rear. With different types of breeds and origins, the huskies’ energy and liveliness make for an interesting and wholly different experience.

Travelling to and from True Love Café

The nearest BTS station to get off from would be Ari station although it is important to not that the café is not as accessible and at a distance situated deep into Phahon Yothin Road, hence consider entering via tuk-tuk or a taxi.

Upon the end of shows and your return, tuk-tuks are available to BTS station Ari that should cost you around 30 to 40 baht.

Procedures to take note of

Upon entry, you have to fill out a form with generic information and pay for an admission ticket that costs 350 Baht, which incorporates a free drink and cake.

True Love café takes the utmost pride in the care of their dogs – therefore, a briefing will take place consisting of rules and regulations such as switching out regular footwear for their plastic coverings, and reminders of treatments toward the dogs.

Hand sanitizing is available and necessary, situated just before you enter the play area.

You can enjoy your one hour of playtime within the caged area with the huskies, with the respective show timings listed below. Patrons to the café can pet them, feed them with ice, and use their devices for photo-taking and video-ing purposes.

About 5 to 10 minutes toward the end of the show, prepare for the dogs to rush back to the doghouse, providing you with a splendid visual opportunity for you to capture this flurry of movement on a camera or video camera. Stand completely prepared and ready with your cameras as this finale may take as little as 5 seconds!

Without banking on the huskies as the main attraction, True love café delivers with their food choices and quality as well. With a wide range of food from Western to Asian, the café’s choices are expansive and commendable with affordable prices. The Shout Team indulged in the café’s Katsu Don and Pork in spicy Miso sauce, both of which cost 160 baht, on top of the redeemable drink and cake.
