Embrace and get in touch with your innermost feelings (both good and bad) with the new MENTAL: Colours of Wellbeing exhibition at ArtScience Museum! The MENTAL exhibition is centred around the subject of mental health; more specifically, tackling and confronting the stigmas that surround this “taboo” topic.

Visitors to the exhibition can be assured that it will be a welcoming and safe space to embark on a personal and intimate journey to discovering and exploring the various ways of being, surviving and connecting in an increasingly stressful world.
The exhibition features 24 quirky and whimsical interactive exhibits, artworks and large-scale installations aimed at providing different perspectives on mental health and ways of being. To make it more relatable to our Singaporean context, there will also be 7 artworks by Singaporean and Southeast Asian artists that hone in one mental health from a uniquely Southeast Asian lens.

The works featured in the exhibition aim to present serious topics in an easy and digestible manner; and they fall in one of four broad themes: Connection, Exploration, Expression and Reflection. Look out for vibrantly coloured and whimsical—almost psychedelic—interactive installations and exhibits like playable cushions, animations, a photo booth, and most notably, a giant rainbow “hamster wheel” that you can actually run in!
