The long Easter weekend is finally upon us, and if you’re looking to unwind and recharge before heading back to your daily grind, you’re in luck – there’s a street food festival, music festival, and even a bazaar for vintage vinyl records for you to indulge in!
1. Michelin Guide Street Food Festival

Foodies out there will be pleased to know that the Michelin Guide Street Food Festival is finally here once more, with a specially curated line-up of 15 food stalls that feature both local hawkers and restaurants listed under the Michelin Guide.
New additions to this 2nd edition of the event include crowd-pleaser Man Man Unagi with its signature Una Don, popular zi-char restaurant New Ubin Seafood and its Heart Attack Fried Rice, as well as Peranakan eatery Blue Ginger with its highly-raved durian chendol.

Prices start from $3, but if you want to indulge to the fullest, go for the $200 VIP ticket and you’ll be served a glass of champagne, a portion of food from every stall, and free-flow beer!
Note: A regular entry ticket costs S$30, and you’ll be entitled to S$30 worth of coupons to use at all stalls participating in the festival. Top-ups are available at the event.

2. CITY65 MUSIC FESTIVAL 2018

If you’re into music, head down to CITY65 Music Festival at Fort Canning Park. Featuring local musicians only, the festival will have 2 stages in total, ‘Electric’ and ‘Living Room’, as well as food challenges, and food and drink stalls.
Expect a wide variety of head-banging tunes ranging from metal and neo-funk to indie and acoustic, with popular underground artists like The Steve McQueens, Addy Cradle, and Terminal Cry performing at ‘Electric’, and up-and-rising singers Lincoln Lim and old-school legend Randolf Arriola at ‘Living Room’.

Hyde & Co. will be serving up their signature Chili Crab Pasta, Maple Sesame Popcorn Chicken, and Homemade Butterscotch Oreo Donuts, and those who want a little more fun can sign up for their beer-themed obstacle course and competitive eating competition!

3. ILLUMI FEST RUN

Whether you’re an exercise fanatic or someone who’s working on their New Year’s resolution of “keeping fit”, join in the fun at this year’s ILLUMI Fest Run, which will have you running along the scenic Marina Bay waterfront while being doused with ILLUMI Glow Water.

Held in collaboration with iLight Marina Bay, runners will cover 5 music zones over a distance of 5km. Blood-pumping music will be blasting to keep your motivation and adrenaline flowing, and a dance party and music festival with live DJ sets will be happening after the run.
Plus, runners will also receive a specially designed t-shirt, goggles and party light stick upon paying your registration fee!

4. The Analog Assembly 2018

For those of you who are interested in vinyl records and all things retro, The Analog Assembly is happening at The Projector for its 3rd edition. Apart from live DJ sets by Candy Says and Ramesh Krishnan, there’ll also be used and new vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and music magazines up for sale and trades. Vendors will consist of renowned vinyl record retailers like The Analog Vault, Surface Noise and For The Record, as well as local record labels and avid record collectors!

5. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

If you’re a fan of mysteries and thrillers, catch London’s National Theatre’s acclaimed production of the famous novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Staging in Singapore for the first time, the play has won total of 5 Tony Awards and 7 Olivier Awards, and revolves around a 15-year-old who gets suspected of killing his neighbour’s dog. When he starts his own investigations to dig out the true culprit, frightening truths get spilled instead.

6. Sakura Japan Fair

If you’ve have yet to view the cherry blossoms at Gardens by the Bay, you’ll be pleased to know that you can now get up close to them for free at the Sakura Japan Fair!
Held inside the Flower Dome, admission to the fair will be free-of-charge on weekdays, and there’ll be food stalls serving Japanese snacks like onigiri and dango for you to munch on. Pop-up booths on the different prefectures in Japan and cultural performances will also be available, but highlights include bento and sake appreciation workshops.
What’s more, there’ll be yukatas for rent for that perfect Instagram shot!
