1. Jewel Changi Airport Is Finally Open!
The hugely anticipated mall of the year is finally open to the public! Even if you aren’t flying off to another country, you can still visit Jewel Changi as there is plenty to do there – there are flower gardens with a 4-storey high indoor waterfall and over 280 restaurants and shops, some of which are internationally well-known brands. Shake Shack, Burgers & Lobsters and The Alley are officially now in Singapore, and there is also the return of A&W. Retail stores like Nike, Tiger Beer, and Pokémon Center are opening flagship stores in the airport mall too. Jewel Changi is connected directly to Terminal 1, and is linked by travelators to Terminal 2 and 3. You can also choose to check-in early at Jewel before heading to the terminal to catch your plane.

2. Skechers Sundown Festival 2019
Sundown Festival is celebrating their 10th anniversary with an even bigger festival! Spread over 3 days, the Sundown Festival celebrates the best of Asian artists; be it Kpop, EDM DJs, directors and even artists. Over 50 artists will take the stage, with headliners like Laidback Luke, Higher Brothers, Justin Oh, MFBTY, TOKiMONSTA, and Henry Fong to entertain the crowds. Catch a screening of indie movies ‘Have A Nice Day’ and ‘Oh Lucy’ during the day, and don’t forget to admire the art installations from Borneo Laboratory.
This year’s Sundown Festival also offers you the chance to get a taste of the whole festival experience with glamping and camping options. Bunk up on Siloso Beach where you’re never far from the action!

3. Shilin Night Market
The largest and probably the most famous night market in Taiwan is coming to Singapore over these two weekends. Held at The Grounds@Kranju at Singapore Turf Club, the Shilin Night Market will have the best of Taiwanese street grub and souvenirs. Taiwanese designers and artists will be also making a trip down all the way from Taiwan, and you’ll be able to score unique loots like totes, bucket hats, and jewelry. Keep busy with arcade games, KTV booths, live music performances and even movie screenings!

4. Gardens By The Bay: Tulipmania
It’s Amsterdam’s turn to take the spotlight for Tulipmania! Fields of tulips are blooming in the Flower Dome at Gardens By The Bay, with over 35 varieties of tulip in vibrant colours. Be transported into the idyllic pastoral landscapes of Dutch countrysides, with towering windmills and farmhouses with thatched roofs.

5. Pokémon GO Safari Zone, Sentosa
All the trainers aspiring to be the very best are going to be flocking to Sentosa for Southeast Asia’s first ever Safari Zone event! Rare and event-exclusive Pokémon like Tropius, Shiny Shuckle, Unown, Kangaskhan will be making an appearance. For those who didn’t manage to get one of the QR codes to be part of the event, you can still hang out at the dedicated Team rest areas to trade Pokémon and swap tips. If you’re intending to just chill on the beach, you might want to give Sentosa a miss this weekend to escape from the crowds.

6. Precious Thoughts & Care Bears Pop-Up Cafe at Kumoya Singapore
It’s not just 1, but 2 beloved characters coming to Kumoya! The huggable Care Bears are back and are bringing the Precious Moments gang with them for an exclusive collab. The themed menu sees characters from both brands come together for cute desserts and mains, as well as a limited edition merchandise collection including figurines, musical boxes, and photo frames. Just like every previous edition, you might score freebies with certain dishes (get a free tote with every order of the Spread The Love Seafood Tempura Rice With Butterfly Pea Flower Cream Sauce – pictured left) and get to dine with huge Care Bear plushies. 7. Treasure Island by Andsoforth
Andsoforth has been delighting us with their immersive dining theatre experiences, but this one’s even more exciting. Treasure Islands is back with another new show to keep you on your toes with their biggest interactive experience yet. Choose from one of the color-coded pirate crews (The Raging Red Rovers, The Blinking Blue Bastilles, The Green Gravy Grovers and The Orange Oddballs) and hunt down the hidden treasure as you complete tasks and discover hidden rooms. 8. Above And Beyond and Steve Aoki at Marquee Nightclub
Marquee Singapore is finally open and it’s THE club to be at! Last weekend saw local and international celebrities as well as half of Singapore’s nightlife enthusiasts converge on Marina Bay Sands for the opening of Las Vegas mega nightclub in Singapore. This weekend, get ready for a hip-hop night led by local DJs on 18 April, before Above and Beyond takes over the deck on 19 April and Kaskade on 20 April. Remember to take a trip down the slide and on the ferris wheel to get the full Marquee experience!

9. Feather Blade Pop Up – Inspired by English Steakhouse Flat Iron
Inspired by his time at English steakhouse Flat Iron, Sheen started his own pop-up steakhouse here in Singapore so that everyone can enjoy good steak at a good price. A 200g fillet of steak only costs $21 at Feather Blade, and is slathered in butter and cooked sous vide before being seared for that smoky, charred flavor. The menu only has one main – steak, but there are four different sides and a wider selection of beers, spirits and wines to choose from to go with your meat. The Feather Blade will be setting up shop at Zui Hong Lou temporarily, with plans for a more permanent location in the future.

10. ArtScience Museum: Wonderland
Fall down the rabbit hole at ArtScience Museum’s upcoming exhibition revolving around our favourite curious girl Alice as she ventures into Wonderland. The immersive exhibition takes visitors into the magical world of Alice through theatrical sets, eye-catching props and secret doorways. And of course, join the iconic Mad Hatter’s Tea Party brought to life by digital projections.
