Yet another much-appreciated long weekend is here, and it’s the perfect opportunity to let your hair loose and blow off some steam – besides chilling by the beach or relieving your childhood memories with the beloved classic The Little Prince, there are plenty of adrenaline-pumping parties happening, including the massive music festival, ULTRA Singapore.

1. ULTRA Singapore 2018

Ultranauts, the highly-anticipated ULTRA Singapore is finally back again for its 3rd edition and it is the first in Southeast Asia to debut the famous Worldwide Stage that was exclusive to Ultra Miami!
There will be 3 stages in total – the Ultra Mainstage, with juggernaut headliners like Afrojack, DJ Snake, Nicky Romero, and Steve Angello, the new Ultra Worldwide, complete with the unique overhead arch for an immersive visual and audio spectacle, and the Resistance Stage, which focus on techno and house music.

2. After Dawn: BBQ Block Party

Besides jamming it out at ULTRA, Camp Kilo’s After Dawn: BBQ Block Party is another event to dance away at, with live DJs spinning like homegrown favourites Sivanesh, William J, and JustMack, smoky grilled chow, and carnival games to win prizes from. Born from the success that is the After Dark pop-up parties, you know that you’ll be in for a great time!

3. 5KM Sentosa Fun Walk

If you prefer scenic sights to city lights, register for Sentosa’s 5KM Fun Walk – organised in partnership with National Geographic, you can expect plenty of scenic nature trails, gorgeous sunset views, and many other hidden gems on the island.
After that, relax by the beach at Palawan Green, catch a movie under the stars for free, and dig into freshly barbequed fare from just $15! Be sure to queue up early for their picnic baskets from 6PM – 8PM though, because the collection is based on a first-come-first-serve basis.

4. Istana Open House

In light of Hari Raya, the Istana will be open to public again – one of the rare 5 times every year! As usual, the grounds will be bustling with an array of activities and performances, but the highlights this time round include a display of colourful birds by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, a balloon sculpting booth, and henna art.

Guided tours are available too, and you can choose to either take a peek into the President’s office, or simply wander around the park’s flora.
