National Day is finally here and for those who weren’t able to turn it into an amazingly long weekend, not to worry – you can still recharge with this weekend’s lineup of relaxing and indulgent events that are perfect for some well-deserved R&R! Think movie screening under the stars, the largest indoor marketplace bazaar, and lots of good food.
1. Films At The Fort

Movie dates always make for a great night out, but when it’s coupled with a sky full of stars overhead, it’s an instant upgrade – so grab a mat and chill out at Films At The Fort, an outdoor movie screening on Fort Canning Park’s lush grass patch that combines award-winning films with gourmet food and wine!

Kicking off with Game Night on 3rd August, this weekend’s schedule includes the heartwarming and poignant The Project Florida, tear-jerking love story The Notebook, and side-splitting comedy Blockers.

2. Carouselland: Trails & Treasures

For those of you in need of some retail therapy, head down to Carouselland: Trails & Treasures, Singapore’s largest indoor bazaar that boasts over 400 vendors, photo-worthy carnival snacks, and plenty of interactive workshops!

3. RWS Street Eats

4. World Snack Fair 2018

5. SG Film Screenings

Film buffs, show your support for the local film industry at SG Film Screenings! Held at the Esplanade Concourse, this cosy movie screening has 2 short films and 2 feature films lined up, which includes the award-winning Ilo Ilo, thrilling docudrama SQ117: Men Behind the Mask, and Azza, a heart-wrenching tale based on the real-life account of a girl dealing with the knowledge that her father was a terrorist.
The best part of all? Admission is free.

6. Wine Lust 2018

7. Oasis Rooftop Pool Party

8. Cake Club by Marina Square
For those of you who absolutely love cake, head down to Cake Club at Marina Square, where there’ll be all sorts of bakes and sugary delights on sale at the pop-up Cake Bar, including ones by Bloomsbury Bakers, Inthebrickyard, Milk Moons, and My Sister Bakes.
Pair them with freshly brewed tea served by The 1872 Clipper Tea Co., and try your hand at cake decorating, cookie painting, and piping of buttercream flowers at their exclusive workshops if you’re interested in baking!

9. Rainforest Lumina

We’ve never had the chance to see the sunset at the Singapore Zoo, but in celebration of its 45th birthday, we can now do so with their brand new attraction, Rainforest Lumina! It’s the first multi-sensory night walk in Asia, and the 1km light trail will feature over 10 interactive zones with various light installations and projections such as the Luminous Pathway, Shimmering Islands, and Lantern Passage.
