1. The Market Hop
Indulge in some retail therapy at The Market Hop, a massive bazaar jointly curated by APS and DREAM. This collaboration between the two lifestyle brands will see two markets running concurrently, hosting over 50 vendors offering a good mix of fashion, craft, furniture, food and beauty finds. 2. Pink Dot 2016
The annual LGBT rally is back again this Saturday, 4 June, at Hong Lim Park. This year’s Pink Dot will feature performances from the likes of singer-songwriter Charlie Lim, rapper ShiGGa Shay and Hirzi Zulkiflie of local YouTube sensation MunahHirzi. Be part of the inaugural Pink Dot placard activity – this year, all Singaporeans and PRs will be given a placard to pen down your own heartfelt messages in place of the customary pink torchlights. So come dressed in your best shade of pink, roll out your picnic mats and show your support for the freedom to love!

3. Nanta (Cookin’)
One of Korea’s most popular show is in town this weekend. Nanta is a non-verbal, musical comedy with a simple back story of five chefs cooking for a wedding banquet. Expect music, mayhem and magic as the cast show off their percussion skills, making melodies out of everyday kitchen tools – a whole new level of improvisation. We heard they’ve got some heart-stopping acrobatic acts too.

4. Sentosa Fun Fest
Add giant inflatables to sun, sand and sea and you’ve got the perfect outdoor activity for the weekend. Think giant water slides, foam pools, obstacle courses and jumping off a 5m-high “cliff” for that bit of adrenaline rush. Food and drink kiosks are conveniently available the beach for refuel after hours under the sun, as well as live DJ performances to groove you into the super chill, beach carnival atmosphere.

5. DBS Marina Regatta
Check out the urban pop-up beach at the DBS Marina Regatta if you haven’t already. How often will you find the tallest inflatable water slide (we’re talking 5 storeys tall) and actual sand in the heart of Marina Bay? This is the last weekend of the annual regatta, that also includes an intense dragon boat competition and pop-up craft stalls by local designers. Hungry beach goers can expect to indulge in local delicacies with a modern twist by hipster-hawker food vendors. Music lovers can look forward to psychedelic tunes from emerging bands Take Two and The MadHatter Project when the sun goes down.

6. Damien Rice Live in Singapore
Fans of Damien Rice, we come bearing good news. If you missed his gig at the Neon Lights Festival three months ago, the Irish singer-songwriter is back in town this weekend. This time, expect an intimate, full-solo concert at The Star Theatre. Known for his melancholic folk ballads, some of Rice’s biggest hits include “Cannonball” and “Delicate” that will tug at your heartstrings and reduce you to an emotional, sobbing mess by the end of the night. When it comes to Damien Rice, we’re happy to be sad.

7. Artisan & Farmers Market
If you are all about the #eatclean life, this market is right up your alley. Kitchen by Food Rebel is hosting the Artisan & Farmers Market, selling organic and healthy food. 8. Sky High Brunch at CÉ LA VI

9. National Gallery: Painting with Light
Heads up, cinemaphiles. Painting with Light is a film series that showcases both early and present-day cinematic stories by Southeast Asian filmmakers. Burmese filmmaker Midi Z’s Return to Burma will be screened this Sunday, 5 June. This is a film that begs the question: Who exactly is Aung San Suu Kyi? You can expect to gain deeper insight into the historic elections that led to the release of this revolutionary political figure. Filmed with a hand-held camera, this semi-documentary is as raw as it gets.

10. Wet Hot Summer

11. Bubbly Brunch Beats
